Schimmel also showcased the new vertical piano series C 121, the anniversary model C 121 Tradition Noblesse and the new satin black finish called Super Matte.ĭuring the course of four days dealers, artists and end consumers had the chance to experience Schimmel’s products and new developments in the spacious Schimmel exhibition room. Dealers and visitors were especially taken by the all-new “twintone” system, that enables piano players to quiet their acoustic piano and play through head phones. In addition to showing their all-time favorite grand and vertical pianos, Schimmel also unveiled new products to the American market garnering very positive responses. The German piano maker, Schimmel, showcased an impressive selection of their products at this year’s NAMM Show, held from January 16 -19. The NAMM Show, one of the largest music product trade shows in the world attracts annually over 115,000 visitors from all areas of the music industry to the convention center in Anaheim, California. The second prize is 2,000 and the third prize 1,000 euros. As first prize Schimmel will offer the winner either the production of a CD under a label or the production of a music video for self-publishing. The competition serves to support and promote young pianists who strive for an international career. The participants have the possibility to present the concept of their program to the audience in a short oral introduction. The repertoire can be chosen freely, but should follow a theme of choice.

The three finalists will give an award-concert in the theatre Lessingtheater in Wolfenbüttel.īesides the musical and artistic performance, the competition focuses on the pianist’s creativity in curating his or her own concert program.


Participants will perform in front of an international jury in two public audition rounds. The competition will take place in September 2021 in the Schimmel concert hall in Brunswick | Germany. The winners will receive appealing prizes with a total value of more than 13.000 euros. Emerging pianists aged 18-32 years are invited to register till July 15th. Schimmel will organize an international piano competition for the first time in 2020.
